Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it signed an official partnership agreement with the Korea Sport and Olympic Committee at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Key officials, including Woori Financial Chairman Lim Jong-ryong and KSOC President Yoo Seung-min, attended the signing ceremony and pledged mutual cooperation.
As an official partner of the KSOC, Woori Financial plans to continue providing various support to national team athletes competing in major international events, including the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Woori Financial also plans to work with the KSOC on its Woori Dream Bridge initiative, which supports relatively less-followed sports and promising junior athletes. The group said this reflects its social contribution philosophy of expanding the base of sport and practising social responsibility by nurturing future generations.
Yoo said, "I am deeply grateful for Woori Financial Group's active sponsorship." He added, "I expect this partnership will not only be a great source of strength for the national team, but also play an important role in revitalising grassroots sports and youth sports."
A Woori Financial Group official said, "Through this agreement, we will support our athletes so they can deliver their best performance on the international stage and contribute to enhancing the stature of South Korean sport." The official added, "In particular, we will be a solid support so promising junior athletes, the leaders of the future, can nurture their dreams regardless of their circumstances."
