[DigitalToday reporter Shin-hye Ahn] Musinsa said on Feb. 27 it opened the fashion select shop Musinsa Empty on the third floor of the West wing of Galleria Department Store’s luxury hall in Apgujeong.

Musinsa has significantly strengthened its new high-end brand lineup tailored to luxury customers while maintaining its identity of experimental brand curation. It plans to speed up its push into the high-end fashion market.

The Musinsa Empty Apgujeong Galleria store marks Empty’s first entry into a distributor. It is also its third store, following the Seongsu store and the Apgujeong Basement store. Musinsa plans to use its entry into Galleria’s luxury hall to broaden customer touchpoints in a commercial area with concentrated luxury demand and to further refine its premium brand selection.

The company said more than 90 percent of the store’s lineup consists of global brands. It placed a high-end contemporary-focused lineup at the forefront, widening the brand spectrum compared with existing stores. Major brands include more than 90 brands such as Entire Studios, Jean Paul Gaultier and Jaded London.

It will also introduce brands available exclusively at the Apgujeong Galleria store. They include Spanish luxury knitwear brand Bielo, New York-based classic minimalwear brand Mariam Nassir Zadeh and U.S. high-end luxury brand Izzue. The company said it enhanced the store’s differentiation by focusing on global luxury and contemporary brands that are difficult to find through existing retail channels.

A Musinsa official said, "The Apgujeong Galleria store expands Musinsa Empty’s curation capabilities into the luxury and premium segment." The official added, "With a selection centered on global luxury and contemporary brands, it will offer differentiated options to customers seeking a new fashion sensibility."
