ISTE said on Tuesday it will supply FOUP cleaner equipment worth 1.8 billion won to SK hynix's China production unit. The equipment will be delivered by April 15.
Chinese production units are investing to improve operating efficiency at existing fabs, separate from expansion of new production lines. ISTE said the contract expanded its FOUP cleaner orders across SK hynix production bases in and outside South Korea.
ISTE said it won an order for FOUP cleaner equipment from a key customer in November last year. It won an order for a combined FOUP inspection equipment in January this year. The company said it expects orders to continue in line with the key customer's process-advancement strategy.
A company official said orders for FOUP cleaner equipment are continuing across the key customer's production bases at home and abroad, including SK hynix in South Korea and its China production units. The official said demand is steadily emerging not only in new investment areas but also in existing fab processes for equipment to advance processes and strengthen operational stability.
