Kakao VX said on Tuesday that cumulative members of its golf platform Kakao Golf Reservation have surpassed 3 million.

The 2025 year-end report released on Tuesday showed cumulative members last year rose 10.7 percent from a year earlier to 3 million. Cumulative tee-time reservations climbed 29.4 percent from the same period a year earlier to 5.4 million.

Total membership refunds last year were tallied at 6.8 billion won. The total reflected a policy of refunding subscription fees for months when users did not play a round. The highest refund per person was 6.04 million won.

The overseas business segment also showed growth. Usage of the Japan real-time round booking service launched in cooperation with Rakuten Gora, Japan's largest golf course booking site, surged 220 percent from a year earlier.

Indicators for South Korea's golf market were also released. Last year's average green fees fell 5.5 percent on weekdays and 6 percent on weekends from 2024. The share of same-day bookings rose 86 percent.

Last year, the highest number of golf courses visited by a single person was 39. Hole-in-one reward payments totalling 200 million won were paid to 187 people.

A Kakao VX official said, "We will provide a range of services for membership users to raise user satisfaction and help golf courses nationwide grow evenly."
