[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] AI inference infrastructure company Baseten said on Sept. 29 it is working with OpenAI to provide open models through OpenAI's enterprise marketplace.
Baseten is one of the open model providers that have entered the OpenAI marketplace. The move lets developers select and use Baseten open models directly in OpenAI's Codex coding tool.
OpenAI enterprise customers can use Baseten open models under the OpenAI spending commitments they have already contracted. They can use them within Codex or by calling the Responses API. Companies can optimise agent work by using open models alongside closed models, Baseten said.
Baseten said it runs inference on infrastructure in the United States and does not store any prompts. Companies can specify deployment regions and apply granular authentication and access controls. They can also check usage by model, user and key.
