AI-native financial intelligence company LinqAlpha is entering a wholesale financial data business that supplies data directly to financial institutions’ in-house AI agents.
LinqAlpha said on Tuesday it has launched a “financial data AI marketplace” and begun supplying data to domestic financial institutions.
The company said demand in the financial data market is shifting as financial institutions such as brokerages and asset managers move to build their own AI agents. It said it used to be important to secure data as broadly as possible. After AI adoption, it said, it has become important to refine and structure vast amounts of data so AI can use it in actual work, and to connect it to reliable sources.
LinqAlpha’s AI-ready data processes financial data such as disclosures, earnings calls and investor relations materials into a form that AI can immediately search and analyse. It also links the original text and the source location for each dataset, allowing users to verify the basis for AI-generated answers.
This enables financial institutions to connect needed data to their in-house AI agents and large language model (LLM) pipelines without building separate infrastructure for data collection, refinement and indexing. They can choose only the data and fields they need by institution and receive it via loading or API, which can also be used to build in-house AI services.
A major domestic brokerage plans to apply LinqAlpha live transcripts to a retail customer service in the second half of this year, and another brokerage is using earnings analysis data to produce its own investment content, the company said.
LinqAlpha is also in talks with several major domestic brokerages to supply data for in-house AI agents. Ho-jun Choi (최호준), co-chief executive of LinqAlpha, said as financial institutions start building in-house AI agents, it is becoming important to move beyond how much data they have and focus on how quickly and accurately AI can be connected to trustworthy data for actual work. He said solving the last-mile of data use in financial institutions’ AI transformation is the area LinqAlpha is focusing on.
