Alibaba Group said on Sept. 28 it has unveiled Qwen Intelligence, a full-stack agentic solution designed to help smartphone makers implement agentic AI features on their devices.

The company said smartphone maker HONOR has adopted Qwen Intelligence as its first partner. The two companies are jointly developing specialized models and solutions by field for next-generation AI smartphones.

Qwen Intelligence is expected to be first installed in HONOR’s new Magic9 series and the HONOR Robot Phone.

Qwen Intelligence spans the technology stack, from foundation models optimized for mobile environments to agents ready for immediate use. It provides components needed for smartphone makers to develop their own intelligent devices.

At an early stage, Qwen Intelligence provides 3 types of agents. It supports smartphone makers in developing devices that better understand users, plan required tasks in advance and carry out actual work.

Steven Hoi (스티븐 호이), head of Qwen mobile AI at Token Foundry and vice president of Alibaba Token Hub (ATH), said, "Agentic smartphones are a key gateway linking personal AI with the real world." He added, "Qwen Intelligence combines Qwen models optimized for mobile with a custom-designed agent execution environment called a harness, supporting smartphone makers in seamlessly providing personalized AI functions to users."
