[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] KB Kookmin Bank CEO Lee Hwan-ju (이환주) has joined the 'life-saving finance relay campaign' to help prevent 피해 from illegal private lending and protect financially vulnerable people.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Sept. 28 that Lee took part in the campaign after being nominated by Hana Bank CEO Lee Ho-sung (이호성), and named Jung Moon-chul (정문철), CEO of KB Life Insurance, as the next participant.

The 'life-saving finance relay campaign' is a public-interest campaign launched in July by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency. It aims to publicise the dangers of illegal private lending and raise social interest in protecting financially vulnerable groups.

KB Kookmin Bank also ran the 'Kookmin Hope Way: Beware of the Debt Road' campaign in August to prevent 피해 from illegal private lending among financially vulnerable groups and young people. It involved attaching stickers bearing the contact details of KB Hope Finance Center over advertisements for illegal private-lending loans to guide people to use safe financial-support channels.

Lee said, "We will continue to take the lead in putting inclusive finance into practice and expanding it as a reliable partner for financially vulnerable groups."
