[DigitalToday reporter Sangyeop Oh] Digital asset exchange Coinone has won a hands-on incident response event co-hosted by MegazoneCloud and Datadog.
Coinone said on Wednesday it took part in the Datadog Game Day event held on Sept. 15 at Red Button Culture Stage in Seoul's Gangnam district and finished first overall.
Datadog Game Day is an event where working engineers from fields including developers, DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), infrastructure and security compete on incident response capabilities.
The event evaluated the ability to analyse and resolve in real time the causes of payment delays, rising errors and external attacks that occur during the process of millions of transactions.
The "Raichu" team, made up of 4 Coinone engineers, completed all missions with a perfect score in the shortest time to take first place overall.
Coinone has introduced Datadog this year and has focused on building an incident response process that detects signs of incidents before users do while reducing the time needed for root-cause analysis.
Coinone Chief Technology Officer Youngmin Kim (김영민) said, "This year, through the transition to Datadog, we have focused on building a process that detects signs of incidents before users and shortens root-cause analysis time," adding, "This result shows it worked in a real-world verification setting."
