Musinsa said on Monday it held a local invitation event for partner brands in cooperation with the government of Shanghai’s Xuhui district in China.
The two-day event on Jan. 9-10 invited about 40 brands that operate in the Musinsa Store Shanghai Anfu Road location. It ran programs to improve understanding of China’s fashion market and key commercial districts. Musinsa and Xuhui jointly planned the event.
The event was designed with Shanghai’s Xuhui district, where the Musinsa Store Shanghai Anfu Road is located. It aimed to improve partner brands’ understanding of China’s key commercial districts and expand local business opportunities.
Musinsa said it was a rare case for a Chinese local government to directly run a cooperation program for overseas companies. It was assessed as strengthening the basis for cooperation by directly running an event for overseas fashion brands.
A Musinsa official said, "We will continue to support strengthening the global competitiveness of K-fashion brands through cooperation with local partners in China." The official added, "We will expand our role as an industry exchange platform beyond distribution."
