Netmarble's content marketing subsidiary MNB said on Thursday it will hold a contest to produce Roblox game content using the 'Kungya Restaurants' intellectual property.
The competition runs from Thursday through Nov. 30 and is open to anyone interested in making Roblox games. Participants must apply for an IP licence through Roblox Creator Hub and Google Forms, then plan and produce a game directly on the Roblox platform.
MNB will provide participants with a "starter asset pack" that includes Kungya Restaurants assets.
Total prize money is 15 million won. The grand prize winner will receive 5 million won and the top excellence award winner will receive 2 million won, and detailed judging criteria and participation methods can be found in the recruitment notice.
The contest was set up to expand the Kungya Restaurants IP to digital platforms such as Roblox and to discover new game content.
Bae Min-ho (배민호), head of MNB, said the company plans to expand the Kungya Restaurants IP into digital content through the contest and broaden touchpoints with Roblox users. He said he hopes it will help discover a range of content with Roblox creators.
MNB is Netmarble's content marketing subsidiary and is developing an IP business and an integrated marketing communications (IMC) business.
