Sh Suhyup Bank will deliver to the Korea Marine Environment Corp a fund raised through its 'Sh Marine Plastic Zero!' deposits and savings products and continue cooperation to preserve the marine environment.

The bank said on Sept. 11 it signed a business agreement with the Korea Marine Environment Corp on Sept. 10 at its headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to preserve the marine environment and reduce marine plastic.

At the signing ceremony, the bank delivered to the agency funds raised through its 'Sh Marine Plastic Zero!' deposits and savings products.

Since launching the deposits and savings products in 2020, the bank has continued related cooperation with the Korea Marine Environment Corp for 6 years.

The Korea Marine Environment Corp is using the bank's support to run the Adopt-a-Beach programme and to produce educational braille blocks for visually impaired children, multi-purpose boxes and umbrellas made from recycled marine waste.

The two organisations plan to continue marine conservation activities through raising funds linked to financial products and resource-circulation projects.

Shin Hak-gi (신학기), head of Sh Suhyup Bank, said, "As a partner to the marine and fisheries industry, we will continue marine conservation activities and customer-participation ESG activities."
