KB Securities has launched a corporate social responsibility initiative to support job creation for people with developmental disabilities and provide healthy food to youths from multicultural families.

KB Securities said on Sept. 11 it bought products made at Bravo Beaver, a disability standard workplace it has invested in, on Sept. 10 and donated them to the social welfare corporation Green Umbrella.

Bravo Beaver is a disability standard workplace established to create sustainable jobs for people with developmental disabilities.

The donated items consist of granola and yogurt bowls and nut sets. They will be delivered to Seoul-area facilities for multicultural families that work with Green Umbrella and are expected to be used to support the healthy growth and stable living of youths from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Green Umbrella operates welfare programs in areas including care, self-reliance, education, health and safety to support children's happy growth.

KB Securities has continued since 2023 to buy Bravo Beaver products and donate them to welfare institutions. In June, it delivered healthy food to youths preparing for independence whose protection ends after they turn 18.

Park Seong-cheon (박성천), head of the Brand Strategy Department at KB Securities, said, "We will continue to practice ESG management through corporate social responsibility activities that help the socially vulnerable, including people with disabilities."
