Mad Engine made the government’s list in a jobs and employment evaluation after expanding hiring alongside a broader push to develop new titles, with both the company and its management recognised.
Mad Engine, a unit of Wemade Max, was selected as a “2026 대한민국 일자리 으뜸기업” and received certification for a second straight year, it said on Thursday. Mad Engine co-CEO Son Myun-seok (손면석) received a presidential citation under the “2026 일자리창출지원 유공 정부포상” awards programme.
The “대한민국 일자리 으뜸기업” programme selects 100 companies each year that contribute to job creation through expanded employment, work-life balance and human resources development. The “일자리창출지원 유공 정부포상” honours individuals and companies that contribute to job creation and improvements to employment systems.
Mad Engine expanded hiring as it increased development projects after the success of “Night Crows”. It is currently developing “Project TAL”, “Night Crows W” and “Project MO”, among others.
The company’s employment scale has risen about 150% over the past 2 years. Youth make up more than half of total employees, and they accounted for more than half of new hires over the past 2 years.
Mad Engine was selected again this year, following last year, after being assessed on fair HR systems, flexible working environments and talent development frameworks. Son was also recognised for contributing to expanded employment and youth job creation.
The company plans to continue hiring developers in line with its expanded new projects, while steadily improving its HR system, training programmes and working environment.
Mad Engine co-CEOs Son Myun-seok (손면석) and Lee Jung-wook (이정욱) said, "It is meaningful that the healthy organisational culture that all Mad Engine members have built together since our founding is leading to good results." They added, "We will continue to create a working environment where talented people can demonstrate their capabilities and keep investing in human resources."
