ASML Korea said on Thursday it was selected as a "2025 South Korea top job-creation company". The designation is a system under the Ministry of Employment and Labor that rewards companies contributing to job creation and improvements in job quality. ASML Korea has been listed for four consecutive years through this year since its first selection in 2022.
The company said the selection was based on new hiring rising by double digits every year. In 2024, the scale of new recruitment increased 13 percent from the previous year. It also runs work systems to support work-life balance, including flexible work, remote work and staggered commuting hours.
It also provides childbirth support payments, special leave for childbirth, support payments for children's school entry and an in-house daycare centre to ease employees' childcare burdens. Housing and financial support measures are also in place, including interest support for housing funds, a rent support programme and a welfare points scheme.
Employees who commute by public transportation or on foot receive a separate subsidy. The company also carries out marine cleanup activities at Gungpyeong Port in Hwaseong and science education volunteer work for local elementary school students, and received a Gyeonggi provincial governor's service commendation in 2024 for such efforts.
Choi Han-jong (최한종), CEO of ASML Korea, said it is making steady efforts to become a good company for employees to work at as part of securing and nurturing outstanding talent. He said being selected as a South Korea top job-creation company for four consecutive years is the result of those efforts.
