Hana Financial Group has joined artists with developmental disabilities to create a mural on an elementary school commuting route in the Incheon area.

Hana Financial said on Sept. 10 it carried out volunteer work to create the mural at Bongsu Elementary School in Seohae-gu, Incheon, on Sept. 9, with winning artists from the art contest for artists with developmental disabilities, “Hana Art Bus,” and about 30 employees taking part.

The mural uses “Frogs of Pond Village and Friends,” a work by artist Lee Do-won (이도원) that won an excellence prize in the children and youth category of the 2025 Hana Art Bus. Images of various living creatures, including frogs, flowers and insects, were reconfigured to fit the commuting route wall.

Hana Financial explained it refurbished an aging concrete wall into a commuting space used daily by students. It also said the mural conveys the meaning of diversity and inclusion through different living creatures coming together.

A Hana Financial ESG planning team official said, “We improved an everyday space in the local community through artwork by an artist with developmental disabilities and employee participation.” The official added, “We will continue volunteer activities that the local community can feel.”
