Woori Bank's telecommunications service WooriWON Mobile will offer benefits including mobile bill support and point payouts in September for customers who sign up for some plans.
Woori Bank said on Wednesday it will run the "WooriWON Mobile Hangawi event" for Chuseok.
Customers who open WooriWON Mobile service during September will receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay and a monthly membership coupon worth 5,000 won.
Customers who open any of 15 plans, including the Double Coupon Plan, Office Worker Plan, Youth Dream Plan and Membership Data Up Plan, will receive Woori Financial Group's integrated points, called Kkul Money, for six months.
Woori Bank explained that applying the point benefit can reduce the actual mobile bill burden to around 0 won over six months.
It will also run a friend referral event. If a customer who opens service enters a referral code, the customer will receive Kkul Money worth 10,000 won, and the referrer will receive Kkul Money worth 20,000 won.
Up to 50 referred friends will be 인정, allowing a referrer to receive up to Kkul Money worth 1,000,000 won. The top three referrers will receive additional Kkul Money worth up to 500,000 won.
From Sept. 7 to 20, it will also provide additional coffee coupons to customers who open the Youth Dream Plan.
Yoon Se-ra (윤세라), deputy head of Woori Bank's WON Mobile Business Division, said, "Through the Hangawi event, we aimed to reduce customers' burden of mobile bills and provide a range of benefits."
