Naver is running an online campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day across major services including its main page, blog and Chzzk.

Naver said on Sept. 10 it will display a World Suicide Prevention Day anniversary banner on its main page. A public interest banner for Suicide Prevention Week, run with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Suicide Prevention Center, will operate through Sept. 16.

During the same period, public interest banners will also appear on the real-time streaming platform Chzzk and Naver Game Lounge to guide users on how to participate in the campaign.

On its blog, Naver has set up a writing campaign in which users can participate directly. Naver on Sept. 10 released a “Blog C question” under the theme “Memories with someone you are thinking of,” encouraging users to create content. Participating content is set to be introduced on Sept. 11 in the blog Hot Topic tab.

Naver has continued related activities to foster a culture of respect for life since signing a business agreement with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2023. It participates in the World Suicide Prevention Day campaign every year and displays a suicide prevention banner on content that AI identifies as suicide-related articles, excluding comments and recommendation stickers.
