Wavve said on Sept. 10 it will introduce a multiview function that lets viewers watch several screens at once and a chat function that enables real-time communication among viewers during golf livestreams.

The two features will be offered in beta starting with the KLPGA KB Financial Golden Life Championship and the KPGA 42nd Shinhan Donghae Open, which open on the day.

Multiview allows viewers to watch multiple golf broadcast feeds on one screen at the same time. It can show together the Wavve Golf 1 and Wavve Golf 2 channels, which each carry the KLPGA and KPGA tours.

From the final round of the KB Financial Golden Life Championship on Sept. 13, a field camera feed called Field Cam will also be added to separately cover final rounds of major KLPGA events on site. It supports up to 2 screens on TV and up to 3 screens on mobile, tablets and PCs at the same time.

Wavve explained it is the first in the OTT industry to introduce multiview that allows split-screen viewing of sports matches on large displays such as smart TVs. Users can watch KLPGA and KPGA matches at the same time or view the main broadcast together with the Field Cam feed.

The real-time chat function can be used on mobile and PC livestream screens. Viewers can share cheers and impressions in real time during matches.

A Wavve official said, "We expanded golf broadcast features so viewers can choose the screens they want and communicate with other viewers." The official added, "We will continue to strengthen our sports broadcast services."
