Ohouse said on Sunday it will hold the '2026 Ohouse Design Awards' through Sept. 20 to wrap up domestic living-design brands.
Now in its second year, the Ohouse Design Awards is the company’s flagship annual promotion designed to look back on living design that drew attention over the past year and to propose standards for good design. The awards will present an expanded lineup and content across 6 categories: furniture, lighting, fabric, kitchen, home decor and lifestyle.
Judges selected 138 products as 'design of the year' after evaluating 5,440 products from 316 brands. Ohouse said 12 judges took part this year, spanning architecture and space, branding, magazines, products and retail, adding more diverse perspectives than last year.
A live broadcast series titled 'Suspicious House' will also run in 4 episodes. Starting with Magiccan on Sept. 13, Ilkwang Light Bulb will appear on Sept. 15, Wiggle Wiggle on Sept. 16 and Rare Row on Sept. 20. The Sept. 15 Ilkwang Light Bulb episode will be held at an Ohouse creator’s home, and the Sept. 20 Rare Row episode will be held at the home of Rare Row CEO Yoonseon Yang (양윤선), who served as a judge for the 2025 design awards.
During the event, Ohouse’s living select shop, Binary Shop, will unveil about 190 selections to mark the awards. Of these, about 80 products will be split into about 40 items per week and offered at exclusive special prices for 1 week. It will also run a 'Daily Special Price' limited to 24 hours each day and a 'Category Special Price' highlighting products and brands in 2 categories per session.
An Ohouse official said the Ohouse Design Awards is a meaningful event that goes beyond simple product sales by highlighting the value of outstanding domestic living design and promoting the growth of local brands. The official said they hope people will experience in one place the design-of-the-year products selected by 12 experts, the judges’ stories and a wide range of discount benefits.
