Wantedlab said on Jan. 13 it has completed 'Wanted AI Day,' an AI agent hackathon in which in-house developers designed AI agents and applied them to solving real workplace problems. The hackathon was held as the final stage of an 'AI agent training course for developers' that Wantedlab has operated since September 2025.

Wantedlab selected a total of 6 hands-on AI agent projects as award winners after they produced tangible results in two directions: advancing its services and improving the efficiency of internal development and operations. The winning projects are expected to be reflected in actual services and internal infrastructure in stages.

Wantedlab plans to use the hackathon as a starting point to expand the scope of AI education to non-developer roles and to make in-house hackathons a regular event.

Hwang Li-geon, head of platform at Wantedlab, said the company has steadily invested in AI development capabilities through developer hackathons since 2022, and that this year its entire development organisation took part and directly experienced designing and implementing AI agents. He said the company will prepare so that all employees can build agents to get ready for the coming era of AI agents and will develop AI services that are competitive at a global level.
