SK Shieldus says it takes more than 100 days for SMEs to respond to cyber incidents
SK Shieldus said on Thursday it released an analysis of the cybersecurity situation and major threat trends facing small and medium-sized and mid-sized firms, based on intrusion incident data from the past five years. Ransomware and data leakage accounted for most cases. Initial intrusions often exploited application, file upload and VPN vulnerabilities, with malicious emails and watering-hole attacks also key paths. It said firms took 106.1 days on average to detect and start investigating incidents.
