Flare CEO says major XRPFi expansion over next six months to attract 5 billion XRP

Flare will push a major expansion of XRPFi, its XRP-based decentralised finance ecosystem, over the next six months, aiming to make XRP usable as a DeFi asset rather than only for payments. CEO Hugo Philion said Flare will become a fully programmable layer for the XRP Ledger and roll out upgrades starting in about two weeks. Hashdex ETF introduces staking rewards, investors paid only above threshold

Asset manager Hashdex has introduced a staking structure for the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF, NCIQ, under which the firm keeps all net staking income up to a threshold. Investors in the fund’s common shares receive a share only once annual net staking income exceeds a dollar amount equal to 0.25 percent of common-share net asset value. Above that level, income is split 40 percent to Hashdex and 60 percent to the trust for common shareholders.

Ethereum network metrics rebound as fees and staking improve

Ethereum’s price lacked a clear direction last week, but on-chain indicators suggest early signs of a network recovery, an analysis said. Data showed Ethereum trading between $1,796 and the $1,950 range, while base-layer activity showed improvement. Fees rose over the past week after a prolonged lull, and new smart contract deployments were well above the 90-day average. Staking reached a record share of supply, while exchange balances fell and leverage indicators eased.
