Woori, KB and Shinhan asset trusts sign MOU for Anyang urban complex development project
A consortium comprising Woori Asset Trust, KB Real Estate Trust and Shinhan Asset Trust has signed a memorandum of understanding to push forward an urban complex development project west of Myeonghak Station in Anyang, it said on Saturday. The project aims to redevelop aging residential areas and underused land into a mixed-use space combining housing and commercial functions. The consortium will review the project structure, prepare funding measures and support stakeholder consultations.

FSS to step up preventive oversight of financial investment, push intensive review of high-risk products
South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service said it will strengthen preventive investor protection in its 2026 oversight of the financial investment sector. It plans to build an intensive review system for high-risk products and closely inspect internal controls across product planning, manufacturing and sales to curb mis-selling. The watchdog also plans rapid, mobile inspections for illegal or unfair practices at customer-facing sites and will expand consulting inspections. It will also step up oversight of fundraising and real estate finance.

KDX, NXT chosen for STO over-the-counter exchange pilot; Lucentblock left out
South Korea\'s Financial Services Commission selected the Korea Exchange-Koscom KDX consortium and the NextTrade-Musicow NXT consortium as preliminary license candidates to open a pilot over-the-counter exchange for tokenised securities. The FSC granted NXT conditional approval, saying it would halt the full licensing review if the Fair Trade Commission opens an administrative probe into technology theft allegations raised by Lucentblock. Lucentblock was dropped after receiving a lower evaluation score.
