Vitalik Buterin points to oracles as biggest security weakness in prediction markets
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin (비탈릭 부테린) has identified oracles as the biggest security vulnerability in decentralised prediction markets. He said the reliability of the oracle that judges outcomes matters more than trading structure, warning markets can be destabilised if oracles fail, are hacked or manipulated. He flagged centralised oracle designs and incentive-driven models as risks and proposed private voting as a next task to reduce coercion, attacks and bribery exposure.
