China\'s MetaX lockup expiry for 14 million shares raises fears of Moore Threads-style plunge

China AI chipmaker MetaX will see about 14 million previously locked-up shares enter the market from Sept. 17, drawing attention to whether selling pressure will spread across Chinese AI semiconductor stocks. Capital B bitcoin holdings up 12 percent but per-share value stalls

French bitcoin treasury company Capital B increased its bitcoin holdings by 12 percent in three weeks, but its diluted satoshis per share were virtually unchanged as its share count expanded by a similar rate. The company raised funds through shares with attached warrants and also uses bitcoin-linked convertible bonds. A 10-for-1 reverse split effective Sept. 8 could further distort per-share metrics. Capital B adopted a bitcoin strategy in November 2024 and reported losses tied largely to bitcoin impairments.
