Cardano Card service to end at end of October, alternative undecided

The Visa-based multichain cryptocurrency payment card \"Cardano Card\" in the Cardano (ADA) ecosystem will end service on Oct. 31. The operator said the card can be used normally until the end date and urged users to prepare. The shutdown follows program partner Wirex ending its custodial infrastructure and moving to a non-custodial model, which will end the partnership. Details on a replacement service will be announced later, but no alternative has been confirmed.

Standard Chartered-backed RLUSD seen driving Ripple Wall Street expansion, raising questions over XRP role

Standard Chartered has launched custody services for Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD, adding to expectations that Ripple’s institutional business is growing on a track separate from XRP. U.Today said the move showed Ripple could expand in Wall Street and banking without an XRP price rise. RLUSD issuance is rising as XRP prices stagnate, and RLUSD’s market value has grown to $2.41 billion. Analysts cited by the outlet said XRP could become optional in Ripple’s institutional payment network.

Danal\'s PayProtocol, Squid cooperate on multichain payment and settlement infrastructure

Danal’s virtual asset payments firm PayProtocol is teaming up with global cross-chain infrastructure company Squid to build a system that allows digital assets on various blockchain networks to be used for payments and settlement at PayCoin affiliates. The companies signed a strategic agreement to connect the PayCoin mainnet and build multichain payment infrastructure. They will run a proof of concept to link PayCoin’s private-chain mainnet with external networks and assess commercialisation.
