Intel Mac users stop at Tahoe as macOS 27 upgrade not available
Apple has ended support for Macs using Intel processors starting with its latest operating system, macOS 27 Golden Gate. The update runs only on Macs with Apple silicon such as M-series and A-series chips, including the 2020 M1 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and later models. Intel-based models such as the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro cannot upgrade. macOS 26 Tahoe is the last major release for some Intel Macs.
