Thinkfree named 2026 excellent company for gender employment equality
Thinkfree, a subsidiary of Hancom, said on Wednesday it won a labour ministry ministerial commendation as a 2026 excellent company for gender employment equality. The company said it was recognised for its performance-based personnel system, stronger maternity protection and efforts to build a family-friendly work environment. It said users of infertility treatment leave and parental leave doubled from a year earlier, and male parental leave use was 100 percent in 2024 and 75 percent in 2025.

Women account for 31.9 percent of new hires in science and technology, up 3.8 points in five years
Women accounted for 31.9 percent of newly hired staff in science and technology, up 3.8 percentage points from 2020, a survey found. The share of women employees rose 0.6 points from a year earlier to 23.7 percent, extending a five-year rise. Women held 13.1 percent of managerial posts and led 13.3 percent of research projects. Institutions running voluntary work-life balance programmes stood at 57.0 percent.

Woori Bank to support low-income infertility and childbirth families
Woori Bank said on March 9 it will run the \'Our Baby in Arms\' support programme to ease practical difficulties for low-income families dealing with infertility and childbirth and to encourage births. The programme focuses on an integrated support system spanning pregnancy and childbirth, including infertility treatment procedure costs, postpartum care centre fees, children’s insurance premiums and newborn supplies. The bank plans to support 100 households this year.
