Thinkfree, a Hancom subsidiary, said on Wednesday it won the Minister of Employment and Labor's commendation as a "2026 excellent company for gender employment equality" organised by the ministry.

Thinkfree said it won recognition for a performance- and capability-based personnel system, stronger maternity protection policies and efforts to create a family-friendly work environment. It said it has a step-by-step support system that includes prenatal and postnatal leave, stillbirth and miscarriage leave, spousal childbirth leave, infertility treatment leave, reduced working hours during pregnancy and guaranteed paid time for prenatal checkups.

The company said users of infertility treatment leave and parental leave increased 100 percent from a year earlier, and the male parental leave use rate was 100 percent in 2024 and 75 percent in 2025.

Thinkfree CEO Doo-young Kim (김두영) said the commendation was "the achievement of all employees who have worked together to build a good place to work". He said the company would continue to create a work environment where anyone can demonstrate their capabilities and develop a corporate culture that supports a balanced work-life routine.
