Kalshi, Polymarket fail to block Nevada, Washington gambling lawsuits
Prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket failed to block gambling-related lawsuits brought by the U.S. states of Nevada and Washington, The Block reported on May 22. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected their request to stop lower court rulings and sent the cases back to state court. Judges said the companies did not show they were likely to prevail on claims federal courts had jurisdiction.

Elon Musk has publicly confirmed holding only three cryptocurrencies: bitcoin, ethereum and dogecoin, a blockchain outlet reported. It said his personal bitcoin holdings began with 0.25 BTC received in 2018, while Tesla holds 11,509 BTC and SpaceX has held bitcoin since 2021. Musk has said he holds no Shiba Inu, and tokens using his name are described as third-party creations. A dogecoin-related lawsuit filed in 2022 was dismissed in 2024.

Epic Games brings Fortnite back to Apple App Store as legal fight continues
Epic Games has restored its flagship title Fortnite to Apple’s App Store worldwide except Australia, allowing play on iPhones and iPads. The company said the return was prompted by Apple’s remarks to the U.S. Supreme Court and its expectation that a federal court will demand transparency over Apple’s commission practices. Epic said it will continue its broader challenge to Apple’s app store conduct and urged regulators to enforce rules.
