Naver Pay to improve small merchant payment environment with Npay Connect
Naver Pay will work with the Small Business Hope Foundation to improve digital payment infrastructure at small merchants’ stores. Naver Pay said it signed a business agreement on July 1 at the foundation in Seoul to promote digital transformation and greater use of digital tools by small merchants. The partners plan cooperation projects to improve payment environments and operational efficiency, centered on the offline integrated terminal Npay Connect.

Ripple has reiterated a strategy to develop the XRP Ledger as core blockchain infrastructure for institutional payments while expanding the use of XRP and its stablecoin RLUSD. Ripple President Monica Long said the future of digital payments will be multi-chain and interoperable, built on institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure. The comments came after Ripple joined the OpenUSD project as a launch partner, alongside more than 140 finance and technology firms.

Tether-backed payment app Ubitt has integrated with Brazil’s Pix payment system, opening access to USDT for about 170 million Pix users. Users can deposit reais into the Ubitt app, convert them into USDT and hold the stablecoin, then use Pix to make payments. Ubitt adviser Alex Obchakevich said users can send USDT using a Pix key or by scanning a QR code.
