LGU+ tracks malicious app servers to protect 30,000 customers from voice phishing
LGU+ said on Tuesday it protected more than 30,000 customers who were at risk of voice phishing crimes last year by tracking malicious app control servers run by criminal groups. It said it traced and analysed about 800 servers from February through year-end, identified about 33,000 customers with access traces and provided related information to police. It also operated KakaoTalk alerts and blocked large volumes of malicious app access and spam messages.
