Clients can use crypto held at Anchorage or U.S. dollar deposits as collateral to meet Binance margin requirements, with assets remaining at an independent custodian until settlement.

Global big banks are expanding bitcoin custody as a strategic business, but a report warns today’s crypto custody infrastructure could face structural risks in a future quantum-computing era. Swiss digital asset technology company Taurus said major custodians carry significant risk during a shift to quantum-resistant cryptography. It said upgrades require blockchain protocol changes and broad coordination. The report argues MPC may face bigger hurdles than HSM, though the view is contested.
