KakaoFriends partners with Riot Games for Worlds 2026

Kakao said on Wednesday it will team up with Riot Games for online and offline KakaoFriends collaborations to mark the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, known as Worlds 2026. Kakao will sequentially release content that reinterprets key League of Legends scenes and music using KakaoFriends characters. Offline, it will join Riot Games’ official pop-up event in Seoul. Kakao also plans global marketing during the November Worlds period.

Naver\'s Chzzk to livestream 2026 League of Legends World Championship

Naver\'s streaming platform Chzzk will livestream the 2026 League of Legends World Championship being held in the United States through Nov. 15, it said on Thursday. Viewers can watch Korean coverage on the LCK official channel and English coverage on the LCK Global channel, with AI-based Korean subtitles for the English feed. Chzzk will also run co-viewing streams with seven streamers alongside the official broadcast.
