HBO \'Industry\' season 4 draws attention for its portrayal of tech fraud
HBO\'s financial thriller \'Industry\' season 4 is drawing attention for depicting the tech industry\'s darker side more realistically than reality itself, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 7. In the series, protagonist Harper Stern leads a new investment firm and investigates fraud at a fictional fintech called Tender. The plot includes manipulated financial data, fake revenue and users, regulatory pressure from Britain\'s Online Safety Act, and aggressive lobbying and merger tactics.
