The new programme focuses on the Wemix 3.0 blockchain and governance contracts and uses a three-tier severity system. Reports of critical vulnerabilities can earn up to $10,000, paid in USDT on Ethereum. Participation is restricted to vetted researchers, and only top-tier Vanguard members can submit reports.

Wemix has finalised a compensation plan for a July security incident involving Wemix Dollar, covering users who held the token, provided liquidity or incurred trading losses during the affected period. The Wemix team will issue eqWEMIX$ and distribute it without applications to eligible holders and loss-affected traders, with later 1:1 exchange to USDC.e when the module resumes. It will also buy back 500,000 WEMIX.

Administrator rights to the Wemix Dollar (WEMIX$) stablecoin contract in the WEMIX ecosystem were stolen, leading to the abnormal minting of about 5.23 million tokens. The Wemix team halted Wemix 3.0 internal and external bridges, related liquidity pool trading, and some services. Minted WEMIX$ was swapped into WEMIX and USDC.e and moved via bridges to Ethereum and BSC, with some assets reaching centralized exchanges.
