Suzuki unveils e SKY mini EV in Japan
Suzuki has unveiled its first mini passenger electric vehicle, the e SKY, in Japan, with a starting price of 2.12 million yen. It uses a 26 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and has a WLTC-rated range of up to 310 km. Suzuki said its efficiency is 97 Wh per km. With a 568,000 yen government subsidy, the entry model could fall to 1.552 million yen. Sales begin on Nov. 16.

BYD\'s first Japan-only kei EV Racco tops 1,000 orders in two weeks
BYD\'s Japan-only kei car-style electric vehicle Racco has surpassed 1,000 cumulative orders in two weeks after its launch, a notable result in a segment dominated by Japanese automakers. BYD said the early order pace is its fastest among its models released in Japan. About 80 percent of orders went to the Racco 300 Premium trim. Prices start at 2,145,000 yen, and government subsidies can lower the purchase price.

Trump-linked World Liberty Financial applies for bank charter to expand USD1 stablecoin
World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance project linked to U.S. President Donald Trump’s family, has applied for a bank charter to strengthen control of its USD1 stablecoin and speed institutional adoption, Cointelegraph reported. Subsidiary WLTC Holdings filed an application with the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. If approved, it could receive a conditional charter similar to those held by firms such as Circle and Ripple. USD1 is used for cross-border payments, settlement and treasury operations.
