Amazon delivery smartglasses raise privacy concerns
Amazon is facing privacy concerns as it uses images collected by smartglasses worn by delivery drivers to improve its AI delivery platform. The glasses can capture people, vehicles and private property in a driver’s field of view, generating thousands of images per shift. Amazon says the data is used only to improve deliveries, not for surveillance. It has not said how long images are kept or offered customers an opt-out.
