Bamito Commission, defence ministry agree to expand AI, media education for troops
The Broadcasting Media Telecommunications Commission and the Ministry of National Defense said on Wednesday they will expand artificial intelligence and media training for service members to about 40,000 people a year. The two agencies signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul to broaden a 2019 pact on digital citizenship into AI and media. Training will be tailored by rank and include content production and deepfake verification. They will also increase illegal gambling prevention content and jointly develop a blocking app.
