Google unveils low-cost Veo 3.1 Lite API for 8-second videos from text and images

Google has unveiled Veo 3.1 Lite, a low-cost API for its Veo 3.1 video-generation AI model. The service supports text-to-video and image-to-video creation, letting users generate videos with audio in 720p or 1080p. Video length options include 4, 6 or 8 seconds in 720p, while 1080p is fixed at 8 seconds. Features such as 4K output, video-to-video generation and video extension are excluded.
