Tether leads investment round in bitcoin-based USDT payments startup Utexo
Tether, the issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin USDT, co-led a $7.5 million investment round in Utexo, a startup that enables USDT payments on the bitcoin network, The Block reported on Thursday. Utexo allows USDT transactions to be processed directly on bitcoin and supports stablecoin use via the Lightning Network. Fees are fixed and disclosed in advance, and payments are made in USDT while using bitcoin network security.
