Circle overtakes BlackRock to top tokenised U.S. Treasuries market
Circle has overtaken BlackRock to become the largest supplier in the tokenised U.S. Treasuries market, CoinDesk reported on March 16. CoinDesk said supply of Circle’s USYC token has exceeded $2.2 billion, surpassing BlackRock’s BUIDL at around $2.0 billion. Tokenised real-world assets are gaining attention among crypto traders and institutional investors as yield-bearing collateral and on-chain cash management tools.

Yield-bearing stablecoins grow fast despite regulatory uncertainty
Yield-bearing stablecoins are growing 15 times faster than traditional stablecoins and are leading the market, Cointelegraph reported on March 13, citing crypto market analytics firm Messari. Messari said tokens including Circle’s USYC, Paxos’ USDG, Tron’s USDD and Ondo Finance’s USDY are surging. The U.S. Senate is divided over regulation, delaying a market structure bill vote until after April.

Circle to build sustainable stablecoin infrastructure by 2026
Circle Internet Group will focus through 2026 on building sustainable stablecoin infrastructure for companies and institutions, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. Circle’s chief product and technology officer said the company plans to move its Arc layer-1 blockchain from testnet to production and expand stablecoins including USDC, EURC and USYC to more chains. Circle also plans to expand its payments network to help firms adopt stablecoin payments without building their own infrastructure.
