Falcon Finance and SoFi launch dollar stablecoins targeting institutions and retail users
Falcon Finance and SoFi have launched U.S. dollar stablecoin products linked to U.S. banking infrastructure. Falcon Finance introduced the institutional-focused fUSD through Anchorage Digital Bank’s federally regulated issuance platform, with reserves held in short-term U.S. Treasuries, cash and Treasury-backed repos. SoFi unveiled SoFiUSD for retail users inside its app, supporting transfers on Ethereum and Solana and planning additional features in coming weeks.

Coinbase launches Flipcash USDF, expands branded stablecoin infrastructure business
Coinbase has launched USDF, a Solana-based stablecoin developed with Flipcash, Cointelegraph reported on May 20. USDF is backed one-to-one by Circle\'s USDC and is part of Coinbase\'s push to expand infrastructure for issuing branded digital currencies for businesses. USDF serves as the payment asset for digital currencies created on Flipcash, where pricing and trading are conducted in USDF. Competition in white-label stablecoin issuance services is intensifying.

Coinbase nears launch of customized stablecoin, tests USDF
Coinbase is testing USDF, a stablecoin being developed by crypto infrastructure platform Flipcash, in the backend of its exchange, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 28. The feature supports companies issuing their own branded, dollar-pegged tokens and is collateralised by Circle\'s USDC. Coinbase said on X that USDF is undergoing operational testing and that trading and deposits and withdrawals are currently not possible. USDF is slated for launch early this year.
