VC investor says AI boom to concentrate gains among few firms
Mel Williams, co-founder of TrueBridge Capital Partners, said the AI boom will generate unprecedented wealth for venture capital but warned many startups will fail. He told a podcast that early AI markets are overheated, with founders securing large funding without proven product-market fit. He expects a few companies to dominate as AI software scales quickly and adoption accelerates. He said AI now accounts for 50 to 60 percent of venture activity, making a major shakeout likely.
