Duolingo once used applicants’ behavior toward a taxi driver as part of its hiring assessment, according to reports citing CEO Luis von Ahn. He described judging a CFO candidate’s character after the applicant was rude to a driver on a company-arranged ride, with feedback shared with interviewers.
