KakaoBank\'s government subsidy finder tops 1 million subscribers

KakaoBank said on Thursday that subscribers to its \"government subsidy finder\" service surpassed 1 million seven months after launch. Introduced in September, the service helps users check and apply for subsidies offered by the government and public institutions. It simplifies the process from entering basic information to filing applications, using a chatbot and personalised recommendations. Users can set alerts for items of interest, and about 20 percent of users are self-employed.

Kakao to recruit 150 for fourth Kakao Tech Bootcamp cohort with 1,000 hours of training

Kakao said on Wednesday it will recruit 150 trainees for the fourth cohort of its Kakao Tech Bootcamp program until March 22. The program, launched in 2022, aims to train developers with skills that can be used immediately on the job. The fourth cohort includes three tracks: AI practical development, full-stack and cloud native, with 50 trainees per track. Training runs from May 12 to Nov. 17.
