A2Z cumulative autonomous driving surpasses 1 million km, setting Korea record
Autonomous A2Z said it has surpassed 1 million km in cumulative autonomous driving, setting the longest record in South Korea. The company said passengers on its self-developed Level 4 driverless autonomous shuttle, ROii, also exceeded 10,000. As of May 15, cumulative mileage reached 1,023,355 km and passenger numbers totaled 10,132. A2Z said the total includes operations in South Korea as well as trials in Japan and shuttle runs in Singapore.

Waymo unveils World Model, can it beat Tesla\'s FSD
Waymo unveiled its AI-based autonomous driving simulation technology, the Waymo World Model, using Google DeepMind\'s Genie 3 to build ultra-realistic virtual environments. Waymo said it can generate rare scenarios and create high-precision 3D environments to improve safety, while criticising Tesla\'s camera-centred approach. Tesla is moving faster on FSD, starting an AI training centre in China and shifting FSD to a subscription model. It also confirmed final specifications for the Semi electric truck.

Autonomous A2Z begins autonomous driverless taxi pilot in Japan
Autonomous A2Z has begun a pilot of an autonomous taxi service in Naruto, Tokushima Prefecture, providing its technology to a project jointly led by Tokushima, NEC and Denno Kotsu. The test runs until March 31 on public roads in western Naruto using a Hyundai Motor Ioniq 5 equipped with a Level 4 autonomous driving system. The service is free on set routes with 27 stops and operates daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
