Naver steps up highway accident information linkages with Expressway Corp and others

Naver said on Wednesday it will build a cooperation system with Korea Expressway Corp, Kakao Mobility, T Map Mobility and others to share information on highway accidents and unexpected incidents. Under the agreement, navigation operators will send data suspected to indicate accidents to the expressway operator, which will verify incidents through CCTV and return confirmed information. Naver plans to link the information to Naver Map to alert drivers.

China\'s Xpeng targets global autonomous driving market as Hyundai turns to robotaxis

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng is expanding a licensing business to sell autonomous driving and smart cockpit technology to external customers beyond its cooperation with Volkswagen. The company set up a commercialization team about six months ago and is seeking contracts for vehicle E/E architecture, smart cockpit, its Turing AI chip, advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving software. Hyundai Motor is also turning to robotaxis as a new demand driver in the United States.
