Toss wraps up companywide AI program AI Surf Day
Viva Republica, operator of South Korean fintech app Toss, is spreading an AI-focused workplace culture through an employee-led program. Toss said on July 7 it has завершed season 1 of its companywide AI program, AI Surf Day, which ran from April to June. Staff opened hands-on “AI Surf Club” sessions every Friday to build automation tools, do vibe coding and share use cases. Over 12 weeks, 509 clubs were formed and satisfaction averaged 4.9 out of 5 points.

Cardano DEX volume quadruples as DexHunter rejects \'Cardano is dead\' claim
DexHunter, a Cardano-based DEX aggregator, pushed back against growing claims that Cardano is dead, saying on-chain activity remains strong despite ADA\'s price slump. It said daily Cardano DEX volume surged from about 6 million ADA to 25 million ADA over four days, driven by tokens such as NIGHT, STRIKE and SNEK and the stablecoin USDCx. Still, volume later fell and Cardano\'s DeFi TVL declined.

Flipboard unveils \'social website\' for publishers and creators to bring open social web conversations into one place
News app Flipboard has unveiled a “social website” that lets publishers and creators build their own spaces on the web, TechCrunch reported. The product aggregates conversations already taking place across the open social web, including decentralised platforms such as Mastodon and Bluesky, into a single operator-managed hub. Flipboard said users can combine profiles and posts from services including Threads, YouTube, podcasts, blogs and RSS feeds. The websites run on Flipboard’s Surf reader app.
